Puritanical conservatism, embodied by the recent Supreme Court decision, dates back to the witch-burning by the Puritans. Their biblical bigotry is based on domination of women by men, and rule by religious fanatics, which is what the Puritans were.

Executive orders to protect LGBTQ+ families in the face of escalating hate crimes nationwide were issued this week by President Biden. A federal working group will promote educational policies for states and school districts that include inclusive learning environments for LGBTQ+ children.

Hate Media

The current campaign of violence toward LGBTQ+ surfaced in a bomb threat targeting gay State Senator Scott Wiener of San Francisco. San Francisco Supervisor Raphael Mandelman remarked, "The disinformation fueling this rise in domestic terrorism is a toxic, corrosive force." Wiener noted that transgender children and families have increasingly been the target of attacks.
