Bring Your Waders

Little Venice, site of the seawall breach on the Embarcadero waterfront, will likely get a $425 million upgrade to the "cracking and crumbling" seawall. The bond is considered to merely be a "down payment" on a multi-decades strengthening project against earthquakes and rising seas. The landfill on mudflats between Fisherman's Wharf and Mission Creek are scheduled for major repairs. The Ferry Building and Transbay Tube are sites of the initial focus--a plan that Port officials say could cost $5 billion.

In the Willie Brown universe, one is either a Republican, a Democrat, or a Socialist. According to the former San Francisco mayor, socialists (like Bernie Sanders) have no place in the Democratic Party.
Such are the rantings of the old guard, i.e. Dianne Feinstein and Nancy Pelosi, always eager to please their corporate masters committed to the destruction of democratic socialism.

Medicare for all and free college tuition, like Social Security, are core principles of the Democratic Socialists of America. What, pray-tell, principles does Willie propose?
