Schooner Nanuk

In 1925, the three-masted schooner Nanuk won the annual race from Alaska to San Francisco carrying $270,000 worth of furs. Built in Fairhaven, California (on Humboldt Bay), Nanuk was featured in the 1933 MGM film Eskimo.

No Sequel Anticipated

The Chronicle story about a squirrel that caused the East Bay power outage omits mention of what happened to the squirrel. We assume this is a one-off performance. No sequel anticipated.
