Schooner Nanuk
In 1925, the three-masted schooner
Nanuk
won the annual race from Alaska to San Francisco carrying $270,000 worth of furs. Built in Fairhaven, California (on Humboldt Bay), Nanuk was featured in the 1933 MGM film
