Newsom Prioritizes Kids

Governor Newsom hits the ground running, prioritizing Early Childhood Development through his appointment of California's first Surgeon General, Dr. Nadine Burke Harris, a pediatrician and CEO of the Center for Youth Wellness in San Francisco. Upon being sworn in as governor, Newsom said he intends to shift control of Juvenile Justice away from Corrections to Health & Human Services.
