Risk of Catastrophe

The collapse of public health is evident in the shortage of medical supplies now forcing hospitals to beg the public for donations of surgical masks and other medical supplies bought by hoarders during the initial pandemic panic. Coupled with the lack of social-distancing options for the poor means that impoverished neighborhoods such as the Tenderloin are at high risk of catastrophe and stigmatizing.
