Getting Sick

As a Medi-Cal beneficiary, the cuts this week to my benefits emphasize the fact that we do not have health care in the US, rather, we have sick care. Now, low income people are not only not receiving health care, they are being penalized for getting sick. And with the cuts in payments to clinics, doctors and hospitals, getting sick is a given for those without resources.
